“Mobile-Friendly” sites to get a boost in Google search results

Google has announced that “mobile-friendly” websites will receive a special notice in search results. According to Google:

We see these labels as a first step in helping mobile users to have a better mobile web experience. We are also experimenting with using the mobile-friendly criteria as a ranking signal.

So there you go. A “mobile-friendly” version will help you in organic search results sooner rather than later. Read the official Google announcement here.

CBS & Beasley swap Tampa, Miami stations

Beasley entered into an asset exchange agreement with CBS Radio whereby Beasley will exchange five stations in Philadelphia and Miami; WKIS, WQAM and WPOW, for fourteen CBS Radio stations in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Charlotte and Philadelphia.

Clear Channel Becomes iHeartMedia <3

In a windfall to business card printers across the country, Clear Channel has changed it’s name to iHeartMedia. From the press release:

Adding to the confusion, iHeartMedia is actually a holding company for iHeartCommunications. Outdoor will continue using the Clear Channel name, even though “clear channel” is originally a technical term in radio broadcasting.

America CV names Donny Hudson EVP of Sales
