Miami-Dade commissioners allocated nearly $850,000 worth of incentives to keep a large, unnamed hispanic media production firm in the area. Although the company is not named, it is said to employ approximately 385 people.

“The Company is one of the largest media sector employers in the region, contributing significantly to Miami’s status as a Latin media cluster through its interactions with the locally-based advertising community and a large local vendor base. As a leading exporter of media content, the Company also contributes to the community’s status as a cultural capital of Latin America and the US Hispanic market.”

The company distributes programming to 24 million homes in the US, Caribbean Basin and Latin America and has “two channels” in the top ten “pay TV networks” for all Latin America. My bet is on Discovery Latin America… What do you think?
